2010 SEED CATALOGUE

Our SEED LIST/ORDER FORMs come in 3 categories:
1. INTERNATIONAL 2. USA RESIDENTS & 3. NEW ZEALAND RESIDENTS. For each category there is a choice of an EXCEL form, which will automatically calculate costing, or a PDF form, which will have to be completed by hand.

Orders will be processed on a first-come first-served basis in order of receipt.

There is a separate allocation of seed for the USA through our agent LT Tran. Completed forms for USA residents should be emailed/faxed to:

7		Vic Daniels green throat yellow/Victorian Peach X sibling Should see 25% recovery of both the Green Throat Yellow and European Peach
8		F1 Vico/Conway Sunrise-Sunset X F1 Sibling Should see a 25% recovery of the renowned Sunrise-Sunset
		WEST COVINA SALMON
9		F1 West Covina Salmon X West Covina Salmon original clone Californian plant with deeper colour than the Victorian Peach. Expect pigmented seedlings which we hope will breed true to type.

		SOUTH AFRICAN PEACH STRAINS AND CROSSES
11		CHUBB'S PEACH STRAIN (Group 1) Green throat X Green throat All parent plants are F1 or F2 Chubb's Peach strain. Expect 100% unpigmented seedlings split for yellow (Heterozygous) - 50% peach 50% yellow. We are not sure to what extent the green throat will come through in progeny.
12		CHUBB'S PEACH STRAIN (Group 1) Varioius Chubb's Peach Strain All parent plants are F1 or F2 Chubb's Peach strain. Expect 100% unpigmented seedlings split for yellow (Heterozygous) - 50% peach 50% yellow. Some will have green throats.
13		VARIEGATED CHUBB'S PEACH STRAIN From a strain of variegated peaches. Expect some albino seedlings
14		Bridal Wreath® X Alick's Peach® Bridal Wreath is a lovely soft split-yellow peach with large umbel and high floret count arising from the breeding program of Pen Henry, Perth. Alick's Peach is my signature Chubb's Peach strain plant. Expect 50% peach 50% yellow
15		CHUBB'S PEACH STRAIN CROSSED WITH GROUP 1 NAKAMURA F1 VICO YELLOW Expect 100% unpigmented seedlings - 25-50% peach and the balance yellow. It has been our experience that Vico substantially improves the floret form.
		GAIL'S PEACH
16		F1 Gail's Peach sibling cross Parents are F1 crosses of original Gail's Peach The florets of Gail's Peach are larger and more symetrical than Chubb's Peach.
17	As above	Chubb's Peach Strain X F1 Gail's Peach Untested cross. We hope for improved colour and floret form.
		OTHER SPLIT- CHUBB'S PEACH STRAIN
18		Terracotta Surprise® X Powderpuff group 1 cream (large umbel, high floret count) [or Terracotta Surprise® X F2 Sir John Thouron] Terracotta Surprise, an open pollinated F2 Chubb's Peach, has an unusual burnt red-orange colour with large florets. Split for group 1 peach. Should produce 50% unpigmented seedlings, some peach, some yellow with wider petals, while hopefully the ovary parent coloratiuon will come through as well.
19		Pastel [Split-Chubb's peach] X F1 Nakamura Vico Cream Expect a mix of peach, yellow and pastel with improved Vico floret form
		WITTIG'S PINK STRAIN AND CROSSES
20		Alick's Pink strain (F2 Wittig's Pink) - cross of similar plants Hopefully this cross will consistently reproduce the colouring of the parents
21		F1 Wittig's Pink (orange) X Alick's Pink® or Alick's Pawpaw [orig. Wiitig Pink X orange] X Alick's Pink® Expect 50% mix of recovered Wittig Pink, Peach and Yellow - balance will be orange.

23		BROAD LEAF YELLOW Sibling Cross: Alick's BBY (Big Broad Yellow) selected parent plants - 25 plus florets Cross of Christo Lötter C12C3 and a selected broad leaf Solomone. Very robust, large plants with lovely open, wide petal florets & 8/9cm leaves.
24		BROAD LEAF YELLOW Sibling Cross: Alick's Broad Yellow 'My Goodness' Own cross labelled Belgian X VIco Yellow, unlikely as all siblings are yellow flowered, yet the plants have a compact 'Belgian hybrid' foliage form with broad cascading 8cm leaves.
25		BROAD LEAF YELLOW Buttercup An outstanding group 1 yellow strain. Broad glossy leaves, good umbels, well-formed florets.
26		BROAD LEAF YELLOW French Hybrid/Flame X sibling A lovely broad leaf American hybrid using European genetic material.
27		BROAD LEAF YELLOW F2 Solomone Yellows Hybrids using plant material from late Joe Solomone, some from his yellows and some yellows recovered from his pastels. Deep Yellow colour.
28	Sorry No Photo	MULTI-PETAL YELLOW Solomone deep Yellow (Multipetal) X Solomone Deep Yellow Ovary parent has 100% 8-petal multipetal florets, a lovely deep yellow.
29		GREEN-THROAT SPLIT (HETEROZYGOUS) YELLOW Summer Surprise (green throat - split yellow) X Sibling (excellent floret form) The Summer Surprise strain has a very interesting genetic base - [Nakamura split yellow X Vico Yellow]orange X Green throat yellow (group 2?) Has yielded some great flowers, some with strong green throats which we expect to be reinforced in the F2.
30	Sorry No Photo	GROUP 2 YELLOW [Natal X Dweza (Yellow)] X Natal Yellow Experimental … We hope this cross of group 2 yellows will reproduce 100% yellow.

36		Lady Margie (a Kirstenbosch Yellow F1 (orange) x a Kirstenbosch Yellow (Kirstenbosch Supreme X Kirstenbosch best orange) Reciprocal Cross Should produce 50% unpigmented seedlings, the recovery of the lovely recurved Kirstenbosch Yellow, plus some nice pastels & oranges.
37		Yamuchi Pink/Venus (Yellow) X Rewa Peach/Vico [a really great pastel] The marriage of two pastel strains produced by a leading Japanese breeder. Expect 50% yellow and 50% pastel with lovely floret forms.
38		Keith Hammett's Peach Melba® [pastel] X F1 Nakamura Vico Cream Experiment to see what Vico does to a lovely pastel. Expect 50% yellow, 50% pastel.
39		Belgian Split-Yellow orange (Jim Holmes Yellow) X F1 Nakamura Vico Cream The split yellow has extra large florets and has produced some lovely offspring when crossed with Vico (see photo). Expect 50% yellow and 50% oranges & great floret form.
		PASTEL Plants with lovely pastel orange and pink tones produced by the progessive dilution of red anthocyanin pigments. Many pastels are therefore split (heterozygous) for yellow and will produce a percentage of yellow offspring.
